In this case, the analysis of the starting profile is strictly necessary in order to understand whether the modification can be made.

Recoating of tools ensures preservation of their quality and performances. After a resharpening/reprofiling, recoating is really recommended in order to increase the life of the hob cutter.
The choice of the kind of coating depends on the intended use of the tool: the most used are AlCrN and TiN.
